Birds Grounded, Statewide

By Network Indiana | Published on in Uncategorized

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The State Board of Animal Health says they are stopping bird transport in Indiana, which means you won‘t see any birds at state and county exhibitions.

This is because of the bird flu, technically known as the H-5 avian influenza virus which has led to the euthanization of 40-million birds across the country.

Also included in the bird ban on travel are public sale locations like flea markets and swap meets, but sales between individuals are still okay.
