Indiana Ethanol Producers Concerned About Possible EPA Changes

(INDIANAPOLIS)- Indiana‘s renewable fuel industry leaders says possible changes from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency could damage the state‘s economy. Indiana Ethanol Producers Association Spokesman Tim Phelps says the EPA is considering among others things, possible cuts in the amount of biofuels or renewables blended into the nation‘s fuel supply. At a news conference today, Phelps and others stated that could have a devastating impact on Indiana‘s economy. Indiana has 14 ethanol plants and they say biofuel production is a $1.5 billion investment that helps support 25,000 jobs in Indiana.
