(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson says some Indiana businesses are getting deceptive letters. The letters appear to come from the Business Services Division of her office.

One letter says it‘s from the Indiana Council for Corporations and attempts to solicit $125 from business owners while the other letter says it‘s from the Division of Corporate Services.

Lawson says they‘re not from her office which no longer sends report filing notices out by mail.
