Gen Con Will Stay in Indianapolis at Least Until 2020
(INDIANAPOLIS) – An estimated 60,000 people will flock to Indianapolis this weekend for the annual Gen Con event. The city almost lost the gaming convention over this spring’s RFRA debate. However, after changes were made to the controversial law, the convention’s CEO said the event will stay in Indianapolis at least through 2020. Visit Indy spokesman Chris Gahl said the Gen Con CEO’s threat to move the convention out of Indianapolis before the end of its contract would have dealt a “devastating” blow to the city.
