INDIANAPOLIS – A tip of the softball cap to the Yorktown Junior Athletic Association softball team. The team represented Indiana as the state champion, and was one win away from the sport’s Little League World Series.

Yorktown had the tying run on third base in the sixth and final inning, but fell just short by losing to Team Iowa 2-1 in the Central Regional tournament championship game in Indianapolis.

Iowa advances to Portland, Oregon, to play in the Little League Softball World Series.
