(KOKOMO) – A new, $20 million dollar assisted living facility is coming to Kokomo. Mayor Greg Goodnight announced that Chicago-based Vermillion Development plans to redevelop the former Kokomo lumberyard along Wildcat Creek into the new Kokomo Residential Care Facility. It’ll house and serve physically-challenged seniors. The four-story facility will house studios and one-bedroom apartments. This comes as studies predict Howard County’s physically-challenged population will reach 6,500 by 2019.
