State Board of Education to approve ISTEP+ pass/ fail “cut scores” Wednesday
Indiana’s State Board of Education meets tomorrow and the board is expected to approve what are called “cut scores” for last year’s statewide ISTEP+ test. These are the minimum scores needed to determine whether students passed or failed the test. As StateImpact Indiana’s Rachel Morello reports, this year’s approved cut scores are expected to be lower than in previous years because of Indiana’s switch to new state-crafted academic standards.
