James Whitford’s Ball State men’s basketball Cardinals thrashed IU-Kokomo last night at Worthen Arena, 90 to 54. The Cards are 4-and-2 on the season. Next up, a game that promises to be a good challenge. Valparaiso comes to Worthen Arena, Saturday at 2 p.m.

Elsewhere in the Mid-American Conference last night:

Toledo downed San Jose State 89 to 74.

Northern Illinois pounded IU-Northwest 87 to 55.

Eastern Michigan disembowled Marygrove College 108 to 64.

And Milwaukee beat Central Michigan 84 to 78.

In the Big Ten:

Indiana lost to UNLV, 72 to 69.
