In men’s college volleyball, last night (Thurs.): 13th-ranked Ball State beat IPFW 3-zip.   The VolleyCards are 8-and-3 overall, and 3-and-0 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Next up for Ball State, a match with Barton at Worthen Arena, tonight at 7:30. It’s the second match in a six-game home stand. The VolleyCards face Loyola and Lewis next Wednesday and Thursday nights, respectively.

 

In men’s college basketball, last night in Bloomington, Indiana upset 4th-ranked Iowa 85-78.

James Whitford’s Ball State men’s basketball Cardinals hit the road, Saturday, for a 4:30 p.m. game at Central Michigan. You can see the game on ESPN-3. Ball State is 15-and-9 overall, and 6-and-5 in the MAC West, tied for first with Toledo and Central Michigan.

Meanwhile Brady Sallee’s Ball State women’s basketball Cardinals are on the road at Kent State for a 2 p.m. game. The Cards are 16-and-6 overall, and 8-and-3 in the MAC West.
