IDOE announces income guidelines for student food assistance
The Indiana Department of Education has announced income guidelines for free and reduced-price meals or free milk for those students unable to pay the full price for meals or milk served under the National School Lunch, School Breakfast, and Special Milk Programs.
Families that receive temporary assistance for needy families or food stamp benefits, have Head Start participants, or have foster children, are automatically eligible to receive free meals.
The program is administered by the United States Department of Agriculture and the Indiana Department of Education. For a complete listing of income guidelines to qualify, visit www.doe.in.gov.
