Contractors have been hired for the 289,000-square-foot IKEA store in Fishers, according to an update from the company. Pepper Construction has been hired to manage IKEA’s on-site construction in Fishers.  The construction is expected to produce 500 jobs. The store plan to hire 250 employees when it opens. The Swedish company is the largest furniture retailer in the world.  Work is on track for the Fishers store to open in fall 2017.
