Anderson police investigating two early Thursday morning shootings
Thursday morning was a deadly one for the city of Anderson as two people died in unrelated shootings within hours of one another. Anderson police spokesman Joel Sandefur says the department is investigating both crimes.
The first shooting came just before 2:00 AM, when 33-year-old Lindsey Wilkins was shot and died. Sandefur says police have arrested 23-year-old Aaron Toller of Anderson on a preliminary charge of murder. Police say no other details will be released until Toller is officially charged.
Then around 4:00 AM, 57-year-old Carlson Conn was shot and died at his home on Lincoln Street. Sandefur says police are “seeking a person of interest” in Conn’s death.
