Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. says a new study from a national automotive organization suggests the automaker directly and indirectly supported about 27,500 jobs in Indiana as of 2015. The report from the Center for Automotive Research also shows direct employees in Indiana accounted for $1.6 billion in payroll. The study suggests, in 2015, about one out of every 100 workers in Indiana was employed at least in part as a result of Toyota manufacturing, sales, logistics or support operations.
