Muncie Exit Closing

Beginning at midnight tonight (MAY 31), Interstate 69 northbound drivers looking to connect with Muncie by Exit 241 will have to detour several miles out of their way.  The Indiana Department of Transportation is closing Exit 241 on the northbound side for the next month as it repairs the exit bridge over Pleasant Run Creek.

Drivers will be routed to Exit 245, with a marked detour back to State Road 332.  The $1.7 million project will also include lane closures in the evenings after 9 PM and median crossovers in August.

The southbound side of Exit 241 will also be closed and repaired.  According to INDOT, that begins in September.  The entire Exit 241 project is expected to be completed in November.

Weekend Anderson Lane Closings

Also this week, drivers near Anderson will deal with lane closures on both sides of I-69 for pavement repairs.

INDOT plans to close the right lanes in both directions between Exit 222 and Exit 226 on Thursday night to repair and replace sections of concrete.  Those are expected to open on Friday morning.  Then on Friday night, the left lanes in both directions will be closed for concrete repair.  They will remain closed until Monday.
