IPR's Quarterly Jazz Digest

Just Jazz

Jazz returns to Indiana Public Radio with the spring broadcast of BlueNotes on Saturday, March 25 from 8-10 p.m. Join jazz host Larry Beck for an eclectic blend of modern American jazz with the music of Miles Davis, Maynard Ferguson, Oliver Nelson, David Sanborn, Lalah Hathaway, J.J. Johnson, and many others. Several historical recordings will be featured in “Classic Jazz Moments” and a new segment “Is It Jazz?” will challenge listeners to evaluate a mystery composition and determine if it contains the essential elements of jazz.
