“Christmas Gifts” Radio Drama

Indiana Public Radio Theatre proudly presents “Christmas Gifts,” an authentic radio drama on Friday, Dec. 13 live on-air and before an audience in Sursa Performance Hall on the Ball State campus.

“Christmas Gifts” brings two O. Henry stories to life  “Gift of the Magi” and “The Last Leaf” are intertwined to tell a holiday story that spans generations. The drama is written by David Little, playwright and assistant teaching professor of theatre at Ball State, with material adapted from “Gift of the Magi” by Kirsten Notovny,

Attendees should be seated by 7:30 p.m., and will be treated to a pre-show program including a Foley sound effects demonstration. The live broadcast airs from 8-9 p.m. and will be taped for broadcast on WIPB-TV in December.

IPR Radio Dramas feature community actors, authentic sound effects (produced by a foley artist on stage) and a live orchestra.
