Worker Skills Gap Hits Indiana Job Recruiters

By Network Indiana | Published on in Uncategorized

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The skills gap and talent shortage in America are making things tough for Hoosier job recruiters. Indy-based That’s Good HR’s Amber Crosby says they really began noticing the issue last Spring. Crosby says they see many job applicants with college degrees yet they lack appropriate skills to enter booming fields like IT, healthcare, accounting and finance. Crosby says they often have upwards of 65 positions that remain unfilled from month to month. Consequently, she says they now sometimes tell employers that people with the skills they’re seeking simply don’t exist and they explore training possibilities.
