The Fort Wayne Komets took care of business on the road against the Quad City Mallards Saturday in Moline, Illinois with a 3-2 victory.  The Ks eliminated Quad City from the ECHL Central Division playoffs, 4 games to 1, in their best-of-seven, first-round series.

The Komets scored two goals in the first stanza and one more in the second, before the Mallards made the game interesting.  Quad City hit the net with a goal at the end of both the second and third periods.

Fort Wayne advances to the division finals against the winner of the Toledo-Kalamazoo series.  Kalamazoo beat league-leading Toledo, Sunday, 4-3, to tie their best-of-seven, ECHL Central Division, first-round series at three games apiece.  The decisive game seven comes Tuesday night at Toledo.
