Muncie motorists travelling through the Ball State campus have a new obstacle to navigate. Traffic lights at the intersection of McKinley and Riverside are flashing red. Construction is underway on utilities on Riverside, near Emens Auditorium.

This intersection is currently a three-way stop.  It will be that way until August 4th.  Meanwhile, stop signs have been placed at the intersection.

The scramble feature for pedestrians, with an audible countdown from 30 seconds, will not be in use during construction.

Orientation is underway at Ball State, and pedestrian traffic is still heavy at times at the intersection.  Drivers are reminded to allow pedestrians the right of way while crossing the intersection.
