The Ball State women’s soccer team is once again the favorite to win the 2017 Mid-American Conference West Division and tournament titles.

The Ball State Daily News reports the Cards got seven votes to finish as the MAC West Champs, and four votes to win the tournament, in the pre-season MAC coaches poll.  Ball State’s conference record over the last two seasons is 19-2-1.

The Cards open up their season today (Friday, Aug. 18) at 5 p.m. with a home game against in-state rival Fort Wayne, before traveling to South Bend on Sunday to take on Notre Dame.
