State Lawmaker Wants to Push Back School Start Dates

School has been back in session since late July for some students, and since last week for many others. One Indiana lawmaker thinks that is too early. State Senator Jack Sandlin says he is doing research on the impact that having kids go back to school so early has on smaller businesses, especially summer camps or other recreational offerings. Sandlin says he might present a bill next session that would push the school start date back.
