Ball State backup quarterback Jack Milas passed for 127 yards and two scores, while freshman Caleb Huntley totaled 141 yards on 26 carries. But it was not enough as the Cards lost to Buffalo at Scheumann Stadium, last night, 40 to 24.  It was the first time Buffalo has won in Muncie.  Ball State leads the series 9 to 2.

Injuries have decimated Ball State this season.  Only three players on offense from the first-string, listed at the start of the season, are still playing. Many substitutes are freshmen.

The Cards wrap up their 2017 campaign Tuesday night at Scheumann Stadium.  Miami comes to town.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m.  You can see that game on ESPN-3.

In men’s basketball … Ball State returns home for its Worthen Arena opener against Stony Brook.  Tipoff is at 7 p.m.

In women’s basketball … Ball State is on the road at Vanderbilt for a Monday afternoon tipoff at 1 p.m.

In women’s volleyball … Third-seeded Ball State takes on 6th-seed Western Michigan, tonight in the Mid-American Conference Tournament at Miami University.  First serve is at 7 p.m. on ESPN-3.
