Ball State Shellacs Western Michigan in Women’s Basketball 85-58

Ball State’s women’s basketball Cardinals shellaced Western Michigan last night at Worthen Arena, 85 to 58.

Junior guard Jasmin Samz led Ball State scoring with 17 points.  Senior forward Destiny Washington got her eighth career double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cards are 22-and-4 overall and 11-and-4 in the MAC West.

Next up is Toledo on Saturday at Worthen Arena.  Tipoff is at 2 p.m.  It will be Senior Day for Cardinals Alana Aguirre, Frannie Frazier, Keri Kleist, Moriah Monaco, and Destiny Washington.

Saturday afternoon’s game is also the last regular-season home game for Ball State.  The Cards are in third place, overall in the league, and second place in the MAC West behind Central Michigan.
