Gov. Eric Holcomb’s office says there are no Indiana National Guards troops currently on the ground at the  southern border of the United States  – “and no plan to send troops, either.”

That word comes as some governors announced they will recall deployed troops and refuse to send any because of the Trump administration’s family separation policy.

Holcomb’s office says Indiana did send – after a request this spring – a helicopter, two pilots, a crew member, and a maintenance person to assist with surveillance efforts in Arizona. That’s scheduled to last through Sept. 30.
