Veterans are more likely to commit suicide than people who have not served in the military. Sen. Todd Young (R-Ind.), joined with Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) and Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) to push a bill that will require Congress to study the Veterans Crisis Line. The Veterans Crisis Line was created in 2011. Young said the bill provides for study of a number of areas, including the effectiveness of follow-up treatment the veterans receive.
