Muncie and 282 Other Hoosiers Cities and Towns Get Infrastructure Grants
444 Indiana cities and towns applied to get money that would fix roads, bridges, and sidewalks.
283 of them will get a combined $100 million through the Next Level Roads: Community Crossings Initiative.
Middlebury, Muncie, Scott County, Lake County, Shelbyville and French Lick were among the cities that each got $1 million. Indianapolis got just over $930,000.
The money for the program comes from the state’s local road and bridge matching grant fund.
