Indiana University student Lauren Spierer’s disappearance in 2011 is listed by TIME Magazine as one of the most mysterious of all time.

“Out of a century’s worth of unsolved disappearances that TIME has revisited, here are five of the most mysterious cases,” the article says.

Spierer is on the list along with Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, hijacker D.B. Cooper, labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa, and aviator Amelia Earhart.

Spierer was 20 when she went missing on June 3, 2011. The case drew national attention. Despite years of investigations and large community support, no arrests have been made and her disappearance has remained a mystery.

Lauren’s parents filed a civil lawsuit against the three men who were with Lauren on the night of her disappearance: Corey Rossman, Jason Rosenbaum and Michael Beth.

A judge quickly dismissed the case against Beth, but the case against Rossman and Rosenbaum continued for more than a year. A judge eventually dismissed those cases as well, saying there is not enough evidence that the two men were responsible for Lauren’s well being on that night.
