The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from 1 p.m. today (Wed.) to 1 p.m. Thursday.  Forecasters say two to five inches of snow will fall across the northern half of the state, with I-70 acting as a dividing line between light and heavier snowfall.  Rain and snow are forecast to begin this afternoon.  NWS forecasters say to plan on slick travel conditions for this evening’s and Thursday morning’s commutes.

On the heels of the incoming snowfall will be bitter cold.  Thursday night’s low is forecast to be three above zero, with wind chills to 10 below.  Friday’s predicted high is 18 under sunny skies, with a low dropping again to single digits at seven degrees.  Weekend weather will feature warmer air with highs in the mid to upper 30s.
