State, Delaware County COVID Numbers Slowly Drifting Downward

The Indiana Department of Health reported Wednesday 559 new COVID-19 cases, with a 4.9 percent, seven-day positivity rate – down from 5 percent, Sunday.  Six new deaths have been recorded, statewide.

Delaware County reported six new COVID cases with a 6.8 percent, seven-day positivity rate, down from 7.1 percent, Sunday.  No new coronavirus deaths were reported.

The number of positive COVID-19 cases has been slowly drifting downward, statewide, in recent weeks.  State health officials report almost 40 percent of the eligible population has been fully vaccinated.
