National Weather Service investigators examined on Saturday debris from Friday afternoon’s tornado in northern Jay County, near Bryant, and estimated the storm’s winds at an EF-2 level.  Such winds are rated at between 111 and 135 mph.

Friday’s Jay. Co. twister knocked down a 100-foot communications tower, and damaged a number of homes and farm buildings.  The tornado also killed a number of cattle, before weakening.
