Former Ball State softball standout Jennifer Gilbert won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympic Games.  Gilbert and her Canadian softball teammates beat Mexico in the bronze-medal game, 3-to-2.  This is Canada’s first-ever Olympic medal in softball.

The 29-year-old Gilbert is a two-time All-American left fielder who played for Ball State from 2011 to 2014.  She is a native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
