Former WBST staff announcer Dave Letterman once said Indiana has two seasons:  Winter and Construction.  His observation has come back to campus to roost for a couple of weeks.  A few Ball State campus streets will be closed for repairs for the next several days.

  • The southbound lane of McKinley Avenue will be closed from Neely Avenue to Riverside Avenue on Tuesday, July 27, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • The northbound lane of McKinley Avenue will be closed from Neely Avenue to Riverside Avenue on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The road closures are in addition to the McKinley traffic circle, which will be closed for repairs until August 13.  The BSU R2 parking lot is still open.

Bethel, New York, and Neely avenues can be used as alternate routes.

Meanwhile the saga of infrastructure improvements, leading to a closed eastbound lane on McGalliard Road from Tillotson Avenue to Oakwood Avenue near Scheumann Stadium, continues to slow traffic along the busy road.  Expect continued backups there, especially during peak drive times, until off-road construction comes to a completion in the next few weeks.
