Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused countless organizations in the United States to check their financial connections to Russia and to disassociate with the country. Does Ball State have any investments in Russia or other connections? If so, what does the university plan to do about it?

Further, what can the university do to reach out to Ukrainian citizens, to Ukrainian college students and to college students studying there from other nations – especially students of color — who fled the country due to the Russian attacks?

Ball State President Geoff Mearns returns this week to tell us about those issues, to further comment on the school’s early retirement program, and to salute the Ball State Daily News, the university’s student newspaper celebrating its 100th anniversary on March 30.
