Ball State MVB wins MIVA regular-season championship
Ball State men’s volleyball Cardinals won their first Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association regular-season championship in 25 years.
It happened Saturday at Purdue Fort Wayne. It took overtime, but the Cards prevailed over PFW in four games: 33-31, 19-25, 25-22, 29-27.
Ball State finished the regular season with a 20-and-3 overall record, and 12-and-2 MIVA tally. They are the tournament’s number-one seed and will host eighth seed Quincy, this Saturday at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena. The winner of that match will face the Ohio State/Lewis winner.
