Both the Texas heat and a red-hot #4 Texas Longhorns team playing on its home courts in Austin, proved difficult for Ball State, Friday. Texas defeated Ball State’s Women’s Tennis Cardinals, 4 to 0. The Cards played tough but were unable to advance.

In spite of the early exit from the NCAA Championships, the Cards finished a year of accomplishments with a 19-and-5 record. In a release from Ball State Athletics, it was noted that ninth-year head coach Max Norris guided the Cards to their fourth MAC regular-season championship in the last six seasons, their second MAC Tournament title, and the program’s third trip to the NCAA Championships.
