Earlham College

Richmond’s Earlham College  is taking an original adaptation of a local author’s work to the world’s largest performance arts festival this summer, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Further Misadventures of Martin Hathaway: Shipwrecked off Heramathea’s Cove is a steampunk odyessy by Richmond author Kathryn Clare Glen. It’s adapted for stage by Earlham associate professor Lynne Perkins Socey. She says taking the show to Scotland is a great way for students to see the world, and the world to see Indiana.

The play was supposed to have opened Thursday, but has been postponed because of the fire in Richmond.

Edinburgh Fringe is in August.
