S10 E08 – The Orchard Keepers, Dana Skully, and Pressed in Black

It’s a triple threat this week for your listening pleasure. We begin with a killer set from The Orchard Keepers, a three-piece Progressive Punk outfit that ride off an adventurous musical spirit as heard through this captured performance at Be Here Now in Muncie from April 13th, 2019. Then, Dana Skully slows things down with a solo acoustic set live from Healer in Indianapolis on February 20, 2019. And finally, we wrap up with Pressed in Black and their performance at Village Green Records on April 13th, 2019. They offer up a combination of reggae and surf rock that makes you feel like you’re on a beach in the 60s.

The Scene is a weekly public radio show produced in Indiana that features music in performance from around the great Hoosier state. Each week, we bring listeners an hour of live music performed in local venues catered by a team of human beings who simply love music.

Our goal is to promote the Indiana music scene by focusing on the music itself. We want to tell the story of the music happening in our own backyards, to be a spark of conversation between fellow music-lovers, and to give listeners a bit of context about new and upcoming artists, sometimes through interviews with the musicians themselves.
