S11 E01: Homegrown – Chreece 5 (feat. Ejaaz, Justo, and Tully C.)

Listen to The Scene’s Homegrown series, featuring local music events that happened here in Indiana. This episode will be featuring performances from Chreece 5 at various venues from August 24, 2019.

This episode features Indiana native Ejaaz perform at the Pioneer in Fountain Square Indianapolis. His music is energetic, insightful, and humorous at times.

Also hear from the well traveled Justo perform at the Pioneer in Fountain Square Indianapolis from the same night. Justo’s music carries a hint of East Coast hip-hop, and neo-soul influenced by his time spent in New York and Detroit.

Then listen to Indiana artist Tully C. (formally known as Tully Cicero) at Square Cat Vinyl as a part of the Chreece 5 festival on August 24, 2019.

The final portion of the program features Dream Chief, Justin Duenne and The Midnight, and Summer Belt, part of upcoming shows this season.

The Scene is a weekly public radio show produced in Indiana that features music in performance from around the great Hoosier state. Each week, we bring listeners an hour of live music performed in local venues catered by a team of human beings who simply love music.

Our goal is to promote the Indiana music scene by focusing on the music itself. We want to tell the story of the music happening in our own backyards, to be a spark of conversation between fellow music-lovers, and to give listeners a bit of context about new and upcoming artists, sometimes through interviews with the musicians themselves.
