In a Wednesday statement. Indiana Michigan power says it will ramp up construction until it's an avenue where it currently is. Quote, within the next few weeks. The project had been extended significantly after more damage than expected was found to underground infrastructure. But the company also says it won't repave Tillotson until it coordinates with the city of Muncie sometime in 2026.

Then the project to replace transmission lines moves north on the same street. I&M says it will affect Twickingham Drive and Riggin Road. And instead of a single lane, the closures will be full road closures going block by block. The company says it will be contacting residents in the area with details. Drivers on Bethel Avenue will see additional work as I&M replaces overhead lines near Northside Middle School and Ball State University's football stadium.
