I believe the mayor's race is a big race, and it's not something that happens in just eight weeks, and so I wanted to get my name out there right away. If you start talking about it now, getting people excited, maybe more of the citizens will participate.

In her launch video Culp says her campaign will focus on things like creating new jobs and supporting small businesses in Anderson. Culp has served almost 12 years on the Anderson City Council and cannot run for that seat, while also running for mayor. Current Anderson Mayor Thomas Broderick has not formally announced whether he will be seeking another term. I'm Thomas Ouellette
