The town of Fairmount each September celebrates its history as the childhood home of James Dean. We went to Fairmount ahead of the Sept. 25-27 James Dean Festival to see if we could find out why people are still so captivated by Dean, the Indiana native who only made three movies but left an indelible mark on the country’s youth culture.
