Governor Whitcomb

“Governor Whitcomb” – 2/5/16

Indiana Weekend

Former Gov. Edgar Whitcomb, who died Feb. 4, served only one term as governor but left behind four books’ worth of adventures – from his two escapes from POW captivity during World War II to a solo trip across the Atlantic in a tiny 30-foot sailboat. We visited with Governor Whitcomb in southern Indiana three years ago and return to that conversation to remember a remarkable Hoosier.
