Brainard Wins in Carmel

Published on in Uncategorized

It‘s four more years for Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. Brainard handily defeated Republican primary challenger Rick Sharp by 64% to 36%.

Brainard has no democratic challenger for the November General Election. Brainard has served as Mayor of Carmel for 20 years.

He says he wants to focus on continuing his legacy of downtown re-development and park and trail expansion and upgrades.

Brainard says Carmel is no longer merely a suburb of Indianapolis, but a city unto itself. He says he also wants to spend the next four years marketing the city.
