Gov. Pence Talking with Business Community About LGBT Protections
(INDIANAPOLIS) – Talks are underway in the business community on possible solutions to the statewide debate over LGBT protections.
Governor Pence has been holding private meetings with business leaders in preparation of next year’s legislative session. The meetings come as independent efforts for statewide protections for LGBT Hoosiers ramp up.
The governor has reportedly been discussing what’s known as the “Utah Compromise” – a Utah law that prohibits discrimination in housing and employment on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, but doesn’t create a special class for other purposes.
