Carrier and United Steelworkers reach job loss deal
A deal has been reached between Carrier and the United Steelworkers for the 1,400 Indianapolis employees losing their jobs as Carrier moves their jobs to Mexico. The union says workers will get one week of severance pay for each year worked, and other considerations, and they could also receive a lump-sum payout of $25-hundred dollars. Workers will also receive six months of medical and dental coverage for their families.
