BSU MBB Loses at Fort Wayne; BSU WBB at IU, Tonight (Thurs.) in WNIT

James Whitford’s Ball State men’s basketball Cardinals lost, on the road, in Fort Wayne last night in the first round of the CIT.  The Cards lead by seven at halftime, but got outhustled and outscored in the second half by 15 points. Fort Wayne won 88 to 80 at IPFW.  Ball State ends its season with a 21-and-13 record.

Tonight, Brady Sallee’s women’s basketball Cardinals travel to Bloomington to take on the I-U Hoosiers in the first round of the WNIT. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.  This is the fifth-straight year Ball State has won a bid to the WNIT.  Last year the Cards won at Iowa 77 to 72.  Ball State enters tonight’s game with a 21-and-10 record; Indiana is 20-and-10.
