Mammogram Screening Protocols Could Change Because of Recent Recommendations from Experts

In the United States, breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths among women. But cancer mortality in the U.S. is down 30 to 40 percent since 1990 because of the implementation of mammogram screenings.

Recent recommendations from a group of national experts that advise *when* someone should begin the screening process which could affect what insurance will cover. As Lindsey Wright reports that has some Hoosiers worried about whether women will continue to have access to life-saving exams.
