The men’s basketball Cardinals lost at Western Michigan, 78 to 68, Saturday.  The loss snapped Ball State’s 6-game winning streak.  The Cards are 19-and-8 overall and 10-and-4 in Mid-American Conference play – good enough to hold down 4th place in the conference, two games ahead of fifth-place Ohio.

The Ball State women’s basketball Cardinals saw their 10-game winning streak disappear as Northern Illinois kept control throughout the contest and beat the Cards 84 to 77.  Ball State is 22-and-5 on the season and 12-and-2 in the MAC – in a three-way tie for first place with Bowling Green and Toledo.
