Ball State loses to Memphis in WNIT second round

Ball State’s women’s basketball Cardinals lost last night in second-round play in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament to Memphis, 79 to 62.

Ball State fell behind in the first quarter, then went on a 23 to 12 run, resulting in a halftime deficit of 39-32.  In the third quarter, Ball State was down four points with 6:17 to go, and was trailing 62 to 55 with 8:21 left in the game, but Memphis went on a 17 to 7 run to close out its win.

The Cards end their season with a 26-and-9 record, tying the most wins in program history.
