S01 E30 – We Prep for a Powwow

Listen

This week, we bring you multiple voices from the Andersontown Powwow: Michael Pace—a descendent of Chief Anderson—will share context, history, and powwow etiquette guidelines; event organizer Debbie Webb talks about how the powwow came to be and shares some of this year’s highlights; and Native American flute artist Douglas Blue Feather joins us for “What Are You Working On?” Also in this week’s episode, we learn about a new children’s book inspired by the kids at Ross Community Center. We speak with author (and PlySpace artist-in-residence) Shannon McCarthy and Director of Learning Supports at Heart of Indiana United Way Ashley Breedlove.
